“I felt like a flamenco princess the moment I put it on.“
We met in 2021, in Ecuador — but our connection began long before, in invisible places. In 2018, I lost my younger brother. Some time later, a friend became very close to me. Six months after that, she also lost her brother. Our grief brought us together in a deep and special way. A few years later, in 2021, she decided to organize a tribute to her brother and invited his best friend to join. That best friend was Boyd. That’s how we met — and ever since, we’ve felt it wasn’t a coincidence. It was a gift, a moment guided by our angels who brought us together.
I felt like a flamenco princess the moment I put it on. I love the details — the lace is unique, not the typical floral kind, and it gives the dress such a chic and romantic touch. The long sleeves make it feel timeless and elegant. It’s a mermaid cut, and even though I’m only 1.50m tall, it doesn’t make me look small at all — it actually makes me feel confident and beautiful.
We initially chose Castle Heeze in the Netherlands, but after visiting Ecuador for New Year’s, we changed our minds. We wanted a place with a unique and different kind of charm. There are no castles in Ecuador — there are haciendas. So we chose Hacienda Santa Isabel, a truly special place full of history and character. It dates back to the 1700s and has an exquisite elegance that completely won our hearts.
