I was working in a sports-shop as a student in summer 2012, when Sam and his friend came in to buy some gear for their trip to iceland. Somehow my sister ended up with Sam’s best friend and that is how we met again for New Year’s Eve 2018.
I loved that I felt so authentic in my dress, I never dreamt about marriage or what I was to wear if I was gonna marry. I just knew that a classical white dress was definitely not going to please me. I saw the dress for about 2 seconds, when I was driving past the shop and ended up buying exactly this one, even after trying on about twenty other dresses. Just like my tattoos, the patterns of the dress were just a continuous part of me.”

Getting ready was really exciting, as this was the moment I knew all the preparations had been completed and I could focus on what was to come, I was just about to see my husband for the first time in my gown. We met in the garden, before heading to our intimate photoshoot with Véronqiue Kolber. On the other hand it was so exciting to have gathered 27 people, after the whole corona lockdown. It was still illegal to meet for more than 4 persons in a private space, even though for public spaces it wasn’t anymore, so we decided to go for it, because it was outside anyways and everyone collaborated by doing tests.”
